Major's Story & Miracles Impact
Seven years ago, Major was adopted from a local county shelter and he hoped that he had found his forever family. Unfortunately, at 12 years of age, he found himself back at the same shelter, emaciated, hairless, confused, dealing with an upper respiratory infection and we soon discovered Cushings disease. Shelters can be so hard on older dogs, and we knew we had to show him and many other seniors that after all they’ve been through, life can be good again. By becoming one of Major’s Miracle givers we can give senior babies their dignity back and provide them with the love, care and the miracle of life they truly deserve!
Bailey's Story & Believers Impact
Bailey was brought to us after her owner passed and had 26 dogs in his property. Unfortunately after he passed, a lot of the dogs died in cages with no way of getting out, starving in the cold weather. Bailey was one of the survivors but she was extremely fearful and spent months with us as we earned her trust. She was one of our many behavior cases who simply needed time to learn to love and trust people again. By becoming a part of our Bailey’s Believers, you are helping us to provide the care and training needed for many of our behavior cases who deserve a second chance and someone who believes in them too.
Chandler's Story & Champions Impact
Chandler’s story began when we rescued an abandoned pregnant momma dog who gave birth to several puppies. Unlike the others, Chandler was not thriving as he seemingly could not utilize his back legs. After a visit to a speciality vet hospital in South Carolina we learned Chandler was born with a malformed vertebra causing him to need further intervention and require a wheelchair for life. From birth to two years old he continued to be in our care until he was adopted by a loving family. By becoming part of Chandler’s Champions you’re making it possible for us to take on the underdogs with complex medical needs and champion the care they deserve!
Casper Pierre's Story & Promise Impact
March 29, 2017… Casper and Pierre were callously and needlessly euthanized at the Fayette County Animal Shelter. They are our why, and this is where our mission began. They still speak to us and remind us why fight to keep our doors open..
